For my third time participating in this group exhibition, I’m working with textiles and printmaking. This past summer’s Block Party steamroller printmaking at Foundry Art Centre inspired me to make more pieces like the large print block I created. These will be uninked and framed. I’ll also have small relief prints available from similar pieces.
I’ll be participating in Let Them Eat Art for the first time, this summer. Come watch me make a Bastille Day themed circular weaving, and purchase up one of my encaustic paintings, prints, or weavings if you’d like. This is the second event this summer where my daughter, Eva Phillips, and I will be participating together! Come see us inside Seafoam on Sutton.
Let Them Eat Art is a celebration of the arts and a whimsical tribute to Bastille Day.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Let Them Eat Art, which features live art demonstrations, musical performances, and kids’ activities, plus food and drink from Maplewood restaurants. There will be plenty of shopping along the way! Maplewood retailers will have extended hours and offer special event-only promotions.
A first for me – I’ll be a featured artist for the steamroller prints at one of the coolest printmaking event in the St. Louis area! This FREE festival features interactive art projects for all ages, a print market, food trucks, beer booths, live music, heavy machinery, and steamroller printing. The Foundry Art Centre’s annual small group exhibition celebrating the art of printmaking.
I’ll be selling encaustic monotype prints and some small encaustic paintings. I’ll also be sharing a space with the New Art in the Neighborhood artists that I’m teaching at CAM. The students will be selling their one of a kind gelatin plate prints, and possibly more.
